Ufu and Nehemiah’s wedding was the kind of celebration where culture could be felt in every detail. The colors, traditional attire, family moments, music, dancing, and unmistakable energy of a Nigerian wedding made their day incredible to document.

What stood out most was the connection between the two families. Beyond the beauty of the celebration, their wedding was about heritage, community, and two families coming together to celebrate the beginning of Ufu and Nehemiah’s marriage.

The GROOM

Nehemiah’s wedding-day look brought together elegance and Nigerian tradition. From the details of his traditional attire to the moments shared with family and friends before the celebration, his portraits reflected both confidence and heritage.

The BRIDE

Ufu looked incredible in her traditional Edo bridal attire. The rich colors, jewelry, textures, and carefully selected details created a bridal look that celebrated her heritage while still feeling elegant and timeless.

Her portraits gave us the opportunity to document not only the beauty of her wedding look, but also the cultural details that made the day uniquely hers.

Ceremony

Surrounded by family and friends, Ufu and Nehemiah celebrated their union through the traditions and customs that make an Edo wedding so meaningful.

The ceremony was filled with moments of joy, respect for family, cultural traditions, and celebration as the two families came together to recognize their marriage.


For us, these are some of the most important moments to document during a traditional Nigerian wedding. The gestures, reactions, clothing, family interactions, and ceremonies all become part of the visual history that the couple and their families will carry forward.

The Newlyweds

After the traditional ceremonies, we spent time creating portraits of Ufu and Nehemiah together.

Against the modern architecture and elegant spaces of Dalmore Event Venue, their traditional Nigerian attire created a beautiful contrast and gave us the opportunity to create portraits that felt editorial while still preserving the cultural identity of their wedding.
